The federal highway police (PRF) has participated in joint operations and promoted actions to combat the illegal timber transportation of wood on the BR 174 federal highway, on the border between the state of Mato Grosso (MT) and Rondonia (RO), in order to curb illegal deforestation. These actions also benefit the community of Comodoro/MT, since the financial resources from the criminal transactions resulting from the circumstantial terms of occurrence drawn up by the PRF have been destined to the community council by the local judiciary.
