Abstract

This study investigates the identity profile of professionals from the Public Security Bodies (OSP), Inspection, Control, Defense and Intelligence that make up the Integrated Center for Public Security and Environmental Protection of Foz do Iguaçu-PR (CISPPA-FIG), a collegiate and multi-agency unit linked to the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP). The research adopted a qualitative approach, using participant observation and structured questionnaires with open and closed questions applied to the Center's professionals. The study sought to analyze: (i) The identity profile of the servers that make up the CISPPA-FIG; (ii) The identity link of agents with their institutions of origin; (iii) Identification of professionals with CISPPA-FIG; (iv) The (in)compatibilities between the identities of the originating institutions and the Center; (v) Suggestions for strengthening participating institutions and CISPPA-FIG itself. The results offer strategic inputs for strengthening institutions already consolidated in the public security system and law enforcement agencies for building the organizational identity of collegiate structures, multi-agencies or groups of task forces such as CISPPA-FIG, contributing to their consolidation and improvement.
