Consequently, various techniques and tools are used in the field to collect the necessary denied data to enable knowledge production. Currently, a non-technological tool is back in the spotlight and receiving the deserved attention from intelligence operatives. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze one of the tools, Human Source, used in operations in the Brazil-Paraguay Border Region from January to August 2023 to achieve success in the operation. To achieve the purpose of this research, sources (newspapers, interviews, etc.) from the Federal Highway Police department were used. Through this research, it was possible to verify that Human Sources are assets worked on in a technical and institutional manner by intelligence offices, providing crucial information for the success of the operation.
